The Ninth Legion

Leading a Roman legion

The Ninth Legion is a PC strategy game about leading a Roman legion north into wild lands. You position each cohort for battle and use formations to respond to threats, while the legion changes over the course of the campaign.

Cohorts and morale

Cohorts build histories as their soldiers form friendships and rivalries. Friends fight harder to protect one another, but losing a close companion can leave soldiers grieving and weaken their cohort’s cohesion. Weather affects morale and combat stats, and surviving veterans can steady and encourage their cohorts.
