The Neighborhood Liars

Game type and player count

The Neighborhood Liars is a social deduction and card bluffing game for 4 to 12 players. Set in a seemingly peaceful neighborhood, players assume various roles and must outsmart each other using deception, strategy, and a mix of public and secret actions.

Core mechanics

Players take turns playing cards face down and declaring what they are. Declarations can be true or false, and if a player is challenged, they must either reveal their card or face consequences. The objective is to outwit opponents and navigate through both day and night phases, where the nature of actions changes. During the day, players lie and bluff with cards, while at night, players act in secret with genuine cards.
