The Lost Game: Royal Game Of Ur

Rediscover the Ancient Challenge of The Lost Game

The Lost Game: Royal Game of Ur revives one of the earliest known board games, initially played as far back as 2600 BC. With simple rules that give way to unexpected depth, this game invites players into a blend of strategy and luck. Two players set off on a racing competition, maneuvering their pieces down the board to reach the finish line. As you strategize your moves and anticipate your opponent's actions, you'll find that this ancient game still holds surprises.

Simple Mechanics, Strategic Depth

At its core, The Royal Game of Ur is straightforward. Players roll three tetrahedra dice, each with two marked sides. The number of dice that land with a silver marking reveals how many tiles a piece can advance. While it may feel like luck governs the outcome, players quickly learn that strategic placement is crucial. Landing on an opponent’s piece sends it back to the start, turning the tide of the game in an instant.
