Town on the frontier

The Lords Next Door is a free-to-play town-building and hero-management game for PC. You play a former captain who has settled on a patch of frontier land after a long war, with an old quartermaster named Wendel urging you to get to work. Build up the town, recruit heroes, get to know the neighbors and defend the valley from threats outside its borders.

Place gold mines, lumber mills, quarries and mana springs around your land, along with a tavern, training grounds and blacksmith. Your Town Hall can grow into a keep, then a castle and eventually a crown citadel. You can also buy more land as the town expands. The setting includes washing lines, sunflowers and flower boxes alongside the buildings and resource sites.
