In The Leaderboard, a satirical idle game for PC, you are nothing more than a number with one ambition: to become the highest-ranked player on a global Steam leaderboard. The premise is starkly minimalist, lacking any traditional gameplay or narrative layers. Instead, your existence revolves around the relentless pursuit of increasing your score while measuring it against a cadre of competitors whose numbers seem to perpetually skyrocket beyond yours.

Accumulate Points While You Do Nothing

Points are accrued over time simply by having the game open, adding a layer of irony to the concept of gaming. Leave your PC unattended; come back later, and voilà! Your score has increased. Players are encouraged to check in daily, with minimal tasks and “log-in bonuses” rewarding you for even the slightest commitment. Click a button, type words, or just stare at the screen for five minutes. There’s joy to be found in the absurdity of it all.
