The Last Survey - Switch

Confronting Ethical Dilemmas in The Last Survey

In The Last Survey, players step into the shoes of a geologist employed by a Brazilian mining company. Tasked with surveying rare earth metal reserves, the narrative challenges players to grapple with the implications of their findings, a stark truth: the Earth may not have enough resources to support the burgeoning green energy sector. As you navigate the delicate balance between scientific integrity and corporate interests, the weight of your decisions looms large.

Exploring Moral Choices in Narrative Gameplay

The gameplay is heavily centered on narrative, with players engaging in a narrative essay format that encourages exploration of complex themes. Each decision you make adversely affects various outcomes in the story, forcing you to reflect on your morals and the long-term consequences of industrial practices. The anxiety of delivering unpalatable truths to the company's CEO amplifies the tension, creating a rich, morally ambiguous environment that stays with players long after they set down the controller.
