The puppet gunslinger

The Last Encore is a PC shooter set in a boulevard theatre at midnight. You’re the last puppet in a gunsmith’s workshop, facing a cast of wooden soldiers, brass automata and wind-up toys. The game ends when you defeat the Thunderbird at the end of act twenty.

Aiming and ammo

Combat takes place on one screen, with no scrolling or off-screen attacks. Puppets walk in from the wings, and you aim with the mouse across a full 360 degrees. Nothing fires automatically: every shot comes from a trigger pull.
