Command a gun battery

The Gunner’s Campaign is a PC artillery game set during the wars of 1805-1815. You command a single battery rather than an army: the forces around you march, fire, break and rally on their own, while you try to keep your guns working and support the battle.

Aim by observation

There’s no landing marker to show where a shot will hit. You set a bearing and elevation, fire, then judge whether the ball fell short, went over or struck the line. Round shot bounces along dry roads but loses force in ploughed mud. Canister is lethal at a hundred paces, but ineffective at longer range. Smoke from a salvo can obscure the target you were trying to track.
