The Game of Chance

Case of Damon Hartfield

The Game of Chance is a PC indie RPG and visual novel about EMCEE, a new recruit investigating a disappearance that may bend reality. Thirteen years ago, Damon Hartfield III vanished in East Golden. His friend Jenny Cosgrove said she last saw him at a claw machine, but details in her account conflict with the evidence: the concert she mentioned was canceled, and the arcade had burned down a week before Damon disappeared.

Even the footage from that night raises questions. It shows Jenny leaving alone, while Damon’s parents say he was never missing and try to erase him from the story. The game follows EMCEE as they reopen the case and look for what happened.
