Maomao investigates

The Apothecary Diaries: The False Imperial Brother Digital Deluxe Edition with Pre-purchase Bonus is a mystery and deduction game for PC. You play as Maomao, an apothecary investigating strange events in the rear palace, the pleasure district and the capital. The cases connect to two chains of incidents called the Five Mysteries and the Five Curses, and lead Maomao toward the truth behind the False Imperial Brother.

Evidence and deductions

You investigate locations, interview witnesses, collect clues and organize information in Maomao’s notebook. Then you choose what information to present to involved parties to earn their trust and get leads. Your answers affect your credibility: wrong ones reduce trust, and repeated mistakes can lead to a dead end.
