Task Bar Isekai is an idle ARPG set in the Gekai, the world beneath your Windows taskbar. Programmer Kenta Sato ends up there after an office computer update freezes at 99%, and computer glitches become monsters. The game runs in a thin, transparent strip above your taskbar while Kenta fights on his own as you work, study or browse.

You collect loot, upgrade Kenta’s gear and advance through stages. The game has four difficulties, five acts with ten stages each, and Leviathan’s Tower for endless play. Story scenes with portraits feature the Desktop Goddess, Mika the cache witch, Gonzo the sysadmin monk, Master Neko, Ponpoko the tanuki merchant and Tanaka-bucho, Kenta’s boss.
