A box-smashing contest

Take or Tear is a PC game built around a prize competition: you smash boxes to keep prizes in play, then decide whether to accept the host’s check or tear it up and risk another smash. Each round starts with five boxes. As smaller prizes drop out, the biggest prize can remain on the board, but another box could knock it out of reach.

Take an offer and add it to your score, or tear it up and try for a better one. The choice changes as the board changes, so you’re weighing the check in hand against the prizes still available.
