System 95

Fighting through programs

System 95 is a PC action game about an ordinary mouse cursor trying to stop viruses, spam, and pop-up ads after the antivirus stops responding. You move through program-themed levels, from Notepad and Calculator to Solitaire, Explorer, and Command Prompt. Each has its own rules: smash calculator buttons, dodge spreading paint, or watch the text cursor write a diary in Notepad.

Systems and modes

The game has two fictional systems, with 10 program levels and guardians in colorful System 95, plus 10 more black-and-white levels in Kometa 7. Guardians are boss windows with phases and attacks. Between levels, a Setup Wizard lets you build a loadout from dozens of upgrades. Firing too much overloads the CPU and can hang the system, bringing a blue screen closer. Defuse minigames between sectors award bonuses.
