Game premise and style

SYNTHETIK: Arena is a stand-alone expansion to the rogue-lite top-down shooter SYNTHETIK. Players control a human consciousness within an Android prototype, battling against the "Machine Legion," a group of AI that has turned against humanity. The game features five challenges where you face relentless enemies, using a variety of weapons and character upgrades.

Combat and weapons

The game emphasizes deep and satisfying weapon mechanics along with extensive customization options. Players can experience features like magazine eject and active reload mechanics, as well as weapon jamming and heat management. You'll need to handle movement-based recoil and can switch between different ammo types. The game also introduces headshot mechanics for the top-down perspective, adding another layer to combat strategy.
