Sword of Fargoal

Reliving a Roguelike Classic: Sword of Fargoal

Sword of Fargoal, initially released in 1983 for the Commodore 64, is a pioneering title in the roguelike genre. Players assume the role of a brave warrior charged with retrieving the fabled Sword of Fargoal, the key to defeating the dark wizard Umla. This remastered version allows you to plunge back into the nostalgic depths of gaming, rediscovering a rich history while appreciating modern enhancements.

Randomly Generated Dungeons and Perils

As you venture through Sword of Fargoal, each level of the dungeon is procedurally generated, ensuring that no two journeys are the same. The dark and twisting passageways pose threats from a variety of foes, ranging from cunning assassins to ferocious ogres. Collect ornate loot and valuable experience points that will aid your quest, but tread carefully; the dungeons are also littered with deadly traps, waiting to ensnare the unwary adventurer.
