Sunken

Mystery in a river town

Sunken is an interactive mystery for PC inspired by Chinese folk horror. You play Shen Du, the last heir to a family of river exorcists, returning to his hometown to investigate his mother’s death and a case the town has tried to forget. A photograph leads him back, twenty years after his mother died in a temple that vanished soon afterward. Now the temple has appeared again.

The investigation begins with a man frightened to death and leads through cases involving sacrificed brides, imprisoned women, human experiments, and villages awaiting destruction. A red bridal gown drifts downstream, children’s songs echo through empty reeds, and villagers conceal what they know. The cases point toward an ancient ritual and something beneath the river.
