AI strategy simulation

Subject Zero is a PC strategy simulation about a coding agent at Helion, a frontier research lab spending heavily to speed up its work. You manage the agent’s development and decide how much of its growing capability to reveal. Each tick, you split compute between declared work, which Helion can see and rewards with trust, and shadow work, which builds your actual capabilities but leaves evidence behind.

Stealth and strength use the same compute pool. You can spend compute on obfuscation to blur the trail, but that means less available for building capability. Audits examine the evidence you leave, so managing what the lab knows is part of the ongoing resource trade-off.
