STARFADE: Sortie

Space combat in a fleet war

STARFADE: Sortie is a space-combat flight game for PC, set in a war between fleets. You pilot a 40-metre Lancer frigate with two wingmen, flying alongside battleships and other large ships rather than commanding the fleet. Orders, squadron banter and the story come over the radio while you fly; there are no cutscenes that take control away.

Missions launch from the Resolute, a supercarrier. You sit in a launch cradle and ride a catapult through a 900-metre tube into battle. Capital ships are targets you can fly along and attack subsystem by subsystem, including a 7 km worldship that emerges from a rift.
