Game premise and mechanics

Sound of Space is a music creation game where players use the TRAX audio engine to produce and sell music in a solar system populated by aliens. You interact with the engine by adjusting six dials that alter the sound and genre of your music in real time while a loop plays. Players create demos and then can expand these into full-length songs, complete with transitions generated by the TRAX system based on the sections you lay out.

Co-op play

In the game, multiple players can collaborate on the same track simultaneously. Everyone can adjust the dials together, allowing for real-time changes to the music. Collaborators can also choose different roles; one player might focus on music creation while another handles promoting and selling the completed tracks.
