Shadowdeep

Game premise and structure

Shadowdeep is a top-down action roguelite where you navigate a dungeon consisting of one thousand randomly generated floors. You play as a small hoplite and the game lacks any form of tutorial, journal, or quest log, adding an element of mystery and emphasizing exploration over traditional RPG mechanics.

Death and progression

Each run starts with three lives. If you lose all your health, you spend a life to refill your hearts. Should you die with no lives remaining, the run ends, and you must restart from the surface. Progress is achievable through Legacy points earned by delving deeper into the dungeon, which can be spent to permanently enhance your Power, Magic, and Armor. Other than these improvements, no items or gear carry over between runs.
