A desktop screen companion

Screen Nook is a small ambient desktop game for PC, centered on a Japanese street that sits in a narrow strip beside your work. Dock it to the left or right side of the screen, where your windows make room for it. There are no goals or tasks to complete; you leave the street running while you work.

Light and weather

The street’s lighting follows your local clock, with morning sun on the rooftops, shop lights coming on in the evening, and lanterns glowing after dark. Weather changes too: clouds pass, and rain makes the street and its stones dark and glossy, reflecting the lanterns.
