Word-based treasure hunting

Scramshaw is a PC treasure-hunting game where you use a 6 x 6 grid of letters to find words and travel along a map. You dig up treasure as you go, while each map adds Perils and grows longer. Picnic Spots offer a safer place to stop, and bonuses added to your path can make travel easier or more profitable.

Maps and upgrades

Each expedition draws on pirates, charms, boons and tools. You can turn treasures into boosts, and completing a map unlocks tools based on your score. Find 13 treasures in a Destination to loot it and earn a Boon, a permanent boost for future expeditions. There are 10 Destinations, each with its own modifiers.
