Players must develop strategies using an extensive card collection and navigate the treacherous dynamics among rival factions.

Tactical Gameplay in a Post-Apocalyptic World

Scivics harnesses the intricacies of tactical deck-building, allowing players to craft strategies tailored to their chosen faction. With over 160 cards at your disposal, you’ll construct Locations to expand your influence throughout the city. Players can either strategize manually or utilize an auto-mode feature to streamline gameplay. The key to victory lies in leveraging your cards effectively while stifling your opponents’ progress.

Choose Your Faction Wisely

Diversity thrives in Scivics, where players pick from four distinctive factions, each embodying unique skills and playstyles. Align with Club Cipher, the cunning Hackers, and utilize their card-drawing abilities to outmaneuver foes. Alternatively, join forces with the New Womens Nation, the precision-driven Hunters, to dominate from a distance. The Sewer Slime Squad reflects a deceptive playstyle, using contagion to disrupt opponents, while the Vassals of Sitri, the Cultists, manipulate the battlefield with their dark powers.

Understanding Location and Influence Mechanics

At the start of each battle in Scivics, players draw four Locations, crucial for establishing control and accumulating Influence tokens. Each turn, players can place one token on any Location to build their power base. Once a Location reaches its Influence threshold, you’ll bank those tokens, with the ultimate goal being to score 15 Influence. Attacking opponents' Locations can also net you Influence or result in their destruction, leading to strategic cat-and-mouse dynamics.

Deploying Personnel for Tactical Advantages

Your strategy in Scivics will heavily depend on Personnel cards. Each turn, Level 1 Personnel can be played for free, allowing you to mobilize units toward enemy Locations. Engaging in battle means subtracting your card’s Attack stat from your opponent's Condition simultaneously, creating a tangible sense of back-and-forth conflict. Smart players will upgrade their Personnel through Movement tokens, adding depth to both offensive and defensive strategies.

FX Cards: Enhancing Your Deck Strategy

Personnel FX cards introduce an additional layer of complexity to your strategy. These single-use cards can augment the stats of your Personnel or deal damage to your opponent's forces.
