Save the Red Box

Single-screen platforming

Save the Red Box is a PC precision platformer in which you control a bandanna-wearing red box through single-screen levels. Each stage has two phases: first, jump through hazards to reach a red portal; then, after it triggers Chaos Mode, make your way through the changed level to a green portal.

Chaos Mode hazards

Touching the red portal changes the environment, distorts the music and adds hazards. Terrain can shift, gravity can change, and traps become faster or more aggressive. Among the obstacles are collapsing platforms, slippery ice, sticky surfaces that disable your dash and moving platforms. Other hazards include proximity-based spikes, homing missile cannons, splitting fireballs, flame bars, lasers that ricochet off walls twice in Chaos Mode, and crushers.
