Chess roguelite runs

Rogue Gambit is a PC chess roguelite where you build an army from scratch and take it through a run of battles. The board follows familiar chess rules, but the roster includes new pieces with abilities, such as the Wizard, Bureaucrat and Jester. You can use those abilities yourself or face them on the opposing side.

Each run crosses three worlds and ends with a boss battle. After a battle, you continue along a branching map of encounters. Battles matter, but so do the choices between them: you might sacrifice a piece to win, or upgrade another and risk missing what you gave up later. When a run ends, you lose your army and start again.
