Recess of the Dead

Zombie survival on one block

Recess of the Dead is a PC zombie survival game set in a seaside neighborhood after the punch at a bake sale turns people into zombies. You fight to hold the block, moving between its houses, shops, market, canal, ferris wheel, cemetery and bandstand. You can barricade houses and enter shops, while traffic, pigeons, rats and a stray dog carry on around you. A road north leads downtown, where hot sauce can be found.

The neighborhood changes from day to day. Fog can cover the bay, and market days or blackouts can change conditions. Street incidents include robberies, car alarms that draw the horde, neighbors trapped under a bonnet, hostages and people asking for a lift in the wrong jacket.
