Ranked Rock Paper Scissors

A competitive deckbuilder

Ranked Rock Paper Scissors is a PC roguelike deckbuilder built around reading an opponent in a familiar rock-paper-scissors showdown. You build a deck, inspect what your opponent has played and what remains in their piles, then choose cards with their likely response in mind. The competition is about more than picking a direct counter: you’re trying to anticipate whether they’ll expect that counter and answer it.

Read the piles

Your opponent’s draw, discard, and exhaust piles are visible parts of the contest. Studying them helps you judge which plays they can make next, but they can inspect your piles too. That makes each choice a potential bluff. You might play the obvious counter, or choose a card intended to beat the counter your opponent expects.
