Game premise and objectives

Quicksant is a retro ant colony simulation game in which players manage a colony of ants that operate autonomously. The primary goal is to support the colony's growth and survival by placing pheromone trails to guide ants in tasks such as digging, hauling, and building. You must also protect your colony from various dangers, including rival ant colonies and environmental threats like rain.

Colony management

In the game, you guide thousands of ants through pheromone trails, allowing them to forage for food, dig tunnels, haul resources, and engage in combat. The autonomous behavior of the ants means they will follow nearby scent trails, making it essential to manage their actions effectively. Storing the queen's jelly is critical for maintaining productivity, especially for ants that venture far from the colony.
