Prototype

A persistent medieval sandbox

Prototype is a low-poly medieval sandbox for PC, built around survival, crafting, and shared settlement building. You start with basic tools and gather materials, then work through stages of progression from stone-age equipment to metalworking, farming, specialized gear, and combat. The aim is to turn wilderness into a village, with the land itself shaped using a shovel and pick.

Building and production

You can lower and flatten ground, prepare building sites, place blueprints, and construct timber, stone, and fortified structures piece by piece. Crafting runs through workshops such as drying racks, forges, looms, and kitchens. Recipes have tool and material requirements, and queues let work continue at a station. Material quality carries through production, while tools wear down with use.
