Podstakannik Rails

Game details and premise

Podstakannik Rails is a first-person co-op game for PC set on an overnight sleeper train. Players board the train in groups of up to four and settle into compartments for a ride where the focus is on conversation rather than objectives or scores. The main activities revolve around enjoying tea, interacting with fellow passengers, and experiencing the ambient sounds of the train journey.

Activities on the train

During the trip, players can pour tea from the samovar using classic podstakannik holders, with only four glasses available in the entire car. The game allows players to share a YouTube video through an old television, listen to music on a tape player (only playable by the individual), or enjoy old tunes from the compartment radio. Players can also interact with the environment by adjusting reading lamps, opening and closing compartment doors, or lying down to nap while others talk around them.
