Picket Line

Stand Against the Tide: The Essence of Picket Line

Picket Line transports players to a pivotal moment in 20th-century Europe, where the struggle for workers' rights unfolds through the mechanics of a tower defense game. Set against the backdrop of a factory strike, you play as the Union, tasked with forming a picket line to prevent "Scabs" from entering the factory. The stakes are high: keep the factory from operating while sustaining support for the strikers' cause. The historical context adds depth, offering players not only gameplay but a lesson in resilience.

Strategy Meets Solidarity in Gameplay

From the start, two Picket Liners stand watch outside the factory. Players move them strategically to thwart incoming Scabs from entering. Each Scab represents a potential blow to the strike, as they can light up the factory windows upon entry. Combat becomes increasingly difficult as more determined Scabs attempt to break the line, armed with improvised weapons or police intervention. This enhances the tension, requiring thoughtful placement and rapid adaptation to shifting dynamics.
