Pawn of the Dead - Switch

Pawn of the Dead: A New Chess Experience on Switch

In Pawn of the Dead, players can engage in an innovative take on classic chess with a twist that adds a layer of excitement. This 3D strategy game brings to life familiar chess mechanics but introduces an engaging zombie theme. With each capture, the game redefines the battlefield, when a Black undead piece captures a White piece, the fallen piece rises to serve its new master, dramatically changing the dynamics of each match.

Capturing the Undead Chess Mechanics

The core mechanic of transforming captured pieces is a revolutionary idea that sets Pawn of the Dead apart from its counterparts. Players must think critically about their moves, as capturing an opponent’s piece doesn’t mean it’s gone for good. Instead, that piece becomes an ally for the opposing side, forcing players to rethink traditional chess strategies. It’s a game of not just offense, but also defense. You can never let your guard down.
