Parallax: Axis

A three-dimensional puzzle

Parallax: Axis is a PC spatial puzzle game set on cube-shaped maps. You move between nodes along the X, Y, and Z axes, collecting stars and rings, avoiding obstacles, and finding a route to the gate. Puzzles ask you to account for the cube’s front, back, top, and bottom. Early stages show guide lines; later ones remove them, leaving you to plan the route yourself.

Routes become music

Every move changes the music. X-axis movement shapes the rhythm, Y changes the pitch, and Z affects how the sound fills the space and reverberates. The order and direction of your moves determine the music for each stage, so solving the puzzle also creates its accompanying sound.
