Paper Bride 8 Tree of Myriadborn

Story in Zangling Village

Paper Bride 8 Tree of Myriadborn is a PC story game set in Zangling Village. In this eighth chapter of the series, you trace a set of sorrowful tales tied to what came before, alongside old friends. The story centers on villagers who repeatedly bow to new gods and abandon old ones, yet remain bound by desire, love and separation, and yearnings left unfulfilled.

Village customs and faith

The game draws on old customs and rites, including red bridal silk used to shroud the dead and garments cut from white paper. Its imagery also turns on the number 8 as a Möbius strip: a winding path that returns to where it began, like the village’s repeated cycle of worship.
