Outlast - PS4

Mount Massive Asylum: The Setting

In Outlast, players find themselves in the eerie and isolated environment of Mount Massive Asylum, nestled in the remote mountains of Colorado. This derelict facility, once a home for the mentally ill, has been revived under the dubious auspices of the Murkoff Corporation. What the world sees as a "research and charity" initiative hides dark secrets within its walls. Here, the horrors of humanity's past converge, creating an unsettling atmosphere that permeates every corner of the asylum.

The Journalist's Plight

Assuming the role of Miles Upshur, an independent journalist, players penetrate the asylum's confines after receiving an ominous tip regarding its activities. Armed with only a camcorder, he ventures further into this nightmare. As he uncovers the disturbing truth about the institution, the line between science and religion blurs, introducing players to a reality that defies comprehension. This narrative-driven approach transforms exploration into a desperate fight for survival as Miles seeks the truth.
