One-Thousand Cuts: Prologue

One-Thousand Cuts: Prologue

One-Thousand Cuts: Prologue is a PC action game set in a low-fantasy version of Edo Japan. You play as Hiroyuki, exiled as a child by his father and raised at his uncle Jiro’s secluded dojo. When his clan faces a hostile takeover, Hiro must choose whether to side with his father or Uncle Jiro.

Combat and choices

Combat is built around instant-death cuts: one hit can kill, including for Hiro. You fight through the army under your father’s control using special abilities and environmental hazards, choosing between efficient tactics and brute force. Bosses use different martial arts styles, which Hiro can learn to use in combat.
