Game overview

Old War Together is a stylized third-person shooter set during World War II that focuses on large battles against AI-controlled bots. Players choose a flag held by their team on a single large map of Normandy, select a character kit, and deploy to the battlefield. The game features continuous combat as two armies of bots engage in battle across various terrains such as beaches, farms, and towns. When a player is eliminated, they can quickly respawn and decide their next position on the map.

Combat and movement

In this game, combat involves a variety of roles including Rifleman, Assault, Support, Sniper, Anti-Tank, Paratrooper, Tanker, Driver, and Pilot, each with unique weapons. Players can also pick up weapons from downed soldiers. The game includes vehicles such as scout cars, trucks, half-tracks, Shermans, Panzers, fighter planes, and transport planes, adding another layer of strategic gameplay. Players can move between areas by swimming across rivers or using parachutes for aerial insertion. Key actions include sprinting, sliding into cover, climbing, leaning, and going prone, with each weapon having its own recoil.
