ABOUT THIS GAME
High-Speed Survival Awaits in Nova Protocol
Nova Protocol delivers an electrifying experience for fans of the arena shooter genre on PC. Players take command of a single interceptor, tasked with survival against a relentless swarm of wireframe enemies. The dynamic environment, featuring a grid floor that buckles and warps, sets the stage for high-speed tactics and strategy as you navigate waves of adversaries.
Master the Art of Movement
In Nova Protocol, your primary focus is on movement rather than firing weapons. Your guns fire automatically, allowing you to concentrate on dodging, building synergies through augments, and surviving an onslaught of thousands. This innovative mechanic emphasizes player agility and strategic planning, encouraging an ever-evolving playstyle as you respond to the swarm's tactics.
Diverse Enemy Swarms
With a staggering variety of thirteen distinct enemy types, from flanking foes to long-range snipers, players face a diverse challenge in every round. The sheer scale is staggering, with up to three thousand six hundred enemies on screen at once. Shattering enemies drop wireframe shards, adding to the visual spectacle while providing constant action and excitement.
Deep Customization with Augments
Each level offers players four unique augments, allowing for creative builds that can spiral out of control. Combine powers such as Chain Lightning, which arcs between foes, or Saw Drones that shred targets in their path. The ability to find and enhance weapon evolutions means players can transform their loadouts mid-run, adapting to the challenges they face and crafting their ideal combat style.
Boss Battles: A True Test of Skill
Every five waves introduces a formidable boss, each with its own distinct mechanics. From the cunning Warden to the time-manipulating Black Hole, these encounters require precise execution and keen awareness. With the boss roster never repeating, players must constantly adapt their strategies. Surviving the waves culminates in the Final Stand, a relentless assault that tests every skill you've acquired.
Multiple Modes for Endless Replayability
Nova Protocol offers five distinct play modes, catering to different styles and preferences. The survival mode provides the complete experience, while Time Trial challenges players to face the Omega Warden under strict time constraints. Custom mode allows for tailored experiences, enabling you to select specific enemies and bosses, ensuring replayability that’s fine-tuned to your preferences.
Progression Beyond Each Run
Credits earned during runs can be banked and spent on permanent upgrades, allowing you to enhance your arsenal over time. The six-node Research tree complements this, producing a compelling sense of advancement. Players can choose from five unique ships, each with different starting advantages instead of mere skins, making for varied gameplay experiences from the outset.
Join Forces in Upcoming Co-op Play
In addition to its robust solo offerings, Nova Protocol promises an online co-op mode following launch. This feature will invite players to team up and tackle the challenges of the swarm together, enriching the already intense gameplay. With full controller support and an electrifying electronic soundtrack, the game positions itself as a standout entry in the fast-paced survival shooter genre.
