Ninon the Upside-Down Mermaid

A Twisted Tale of a Mermaid Princess

Ninon the Upside-Down Mermaid spins an intriguing take on the classic tale of The Little Mermaid. Born with the head of a fish and human legs, Princess Ninon is ostracized beneath the waves, yearning for acceptance in a world that sees her as an outcast. As she navigates her unconventional existence, her curiosity about the surface world deepens, drawing her toward destiny when she saves a drowning nobleman named Vivien Bellerose.

An Enticing Bargain with the Sea Witch

Ninon’s journey accelerates when she makes a fateful deal with the sea witch Petraea, striving to experience the world above. This bargain not only threatens her safety but also forces Ninon to confront her own identity. As she sheds her aquatic ties, the stakes rise, challenging her perceptions of belonging and self-worth. The clash between her fascination for humans and her mother's fears of them adds emotional depth to her narrative.
