Nikhil Murthy's Syphilisation

A New Vision in the 4X Genre: Syphilisation

Nikhil Murthy's Syphilisation redefines the 4X genre with a postcolonial perspective, offering a fresh take on familiar gameplay mechanics. This parody isn't just about empire-building; it reframes competition and cooperation among nations through the lens of shared human struggles. Players can explore uncharted territories of empathy and collaboration rather than mere conquest.

Engaging with Historical Context and Characters

At the heart of Syphilisation is a group report featuring historical figures like Gandhi and Churchill. Players take on the role of a student who researches not just their stories but the complexities of colonization. By learning about events such as the Dandi March and the principle of Ahimsa, players delve into significant historical moments, creating a rich backdrop for their strategic choices.
