Night of Suro: Tulang Wangi

Javanese folk horror

Night of Suro: Tulang Wangi is a folk horror game for PC set in rural Central Java in 1982. You play Kusumo, born under the Weton Tulang Wangi, a sign that forbids him from leaving home on Malam Satu Suro, the Javanese New Year’s night when spirits can cross into the human world.

Kusumo’s father died a year earlier while performing a ritual to cleanse the family’s sacred heirloom, the Keris Tirta Wangi. Unless the ritual is completed this year, a curse will claim Kusumo’s mother. To save her, he must break the taboo, go into the village, and survive until dawn.
