Newspaper Baron

Running the newspaper

Newspaper Baron is a newspaper-management game for PC, set at the Truth of Boria editorial office. You start as the head of a small-town paper and work toward managing the country’s largest print publication, or becoming its sole owner. You seek out stories and scoops, cater to readers, compete with rival papers, and build a skilled staff.

Money and influence

Funds are often short, so you have to keep the paper afloat while deciding which people and political forces to support or oppose. You can balance powerful interests, work with the paper’s original owner, and choose whether to keep authorities at arm’s length or embrace them. Bribes can bring luxury, but at the cost of your character’s conscience.
