Territory and movement

MOVETOON is a turn-based competitive board game for PC where players move pieces and claim squares by painting them with ink. Each turn, you choose a destination and confirm your move. The goal is to have more squares in your color than your opponent when every playable square has been painted. You can repaint their territory, but not the square their piece occupies; a tied count is a draw.

Movement distance controls how much ground your ink covers. You can move up to six steps, following the shortest horizontal and vertical route around holes and the other piece. Ink spreads from where you end your move, not along the path you traveled. Staying put gives the widest painting range, while moving five or six steps paints only the destination. You can’t stay put on two consecutive turns of your own.
