Monkey Overdrive

Charge-based combat

Monkey Overdrive is a PC action game about a monkey trying to bring bananas home while aliens block the way. You charge your saucer, release to ram through enemies, then steer its drift and use the rebound to line up another hit. Your weapons fire automatically, so aiming them isn’t the main task: you choose where to charge, when to release, and how to get clear afterward.

Weapons and upgrades

During combat, you level up and choose weapons or stronger abilities. Maxing out a weapon and its matching passive makes that weapon’s evolution available as an upgrade choice. The options can change how an attack works: Swarm Missiles: Hive Apocalypse fires ten homing missiles per volley that split on impact, while the Big Banana Bomb replaces the volley with one wide-area explosion. You can pick only one of those evolutions.
