Mod Complex

Turn-based chat moderation

Mod Complex is a turn-based roguelite for PC about moderating group chats that should have been shut down years ago. Each hour, new messages arrive across seven servers. You read the chat and decide whether to approve a message, delete it, give someone a timeout, or ban them. Nothing is flagged for you, so you have to work out who’s joking, who’s baiting, and who might get the server reported.

Any bad messages still on screen when an hour ends count as reports. Too many reports, and the server gets reported to the FBI. Ban the wrong person and their friends may start trouble; leave the wrong person alone and the reports add up. Each server has eight regulars with their own voices, friends, and grudges, and arguments develop from hour to hour as the chat reacts to your decisions.
