Building a game studio

Milesyon is a PC tycoon game about running a studio through the history of the video game industry. Each run begins in 1978 with a garage and $120,000, then spans as many as 48 years. You make decisions as the industry changes around you, leaving a record of your studio’s rise or fall.

The simulation continues without waiting for you. Platforms are born and die, rival studios rise or collapse, genres go out of fashion, and technology advances. It’s deterministic: the same seed produces the same world, with no random events to disguise the effects of your decisions.
