Game type and premise

MECHANICUBUS is a 2D precision platformer that emphasizes difficult challenges and spatial awareness. Players control a heavy relic and navigate a vast, interconnected map that comprises various atmospheric environments, starting from a Victorian town and progressing through multiple themed zones.

Movement mechanics

Movement is central to the game. The player must master a unique jump mechanic where speed directly influences jump height. Accelerating and decelerating at a slow pace makes every jump critical, requiring precise timing and execution. Missing a jump leads to immediate respawn at the entrance of Irenwerth, creating a sense of urgency and tension.
