Discovering the World of Mate

In Mate, an open-world action-adventure game exclusively on PC, players navigate the complexities of adolescence within a rural Japanese town. The journey begins with Hikari Washington, a high school student struggling to find her place after being accepted into a second-choice school. Through rich narrative and vibrant exploration, players form teams comprised of over 16 characters, each bringing their unique strengths to the table.

Forming Connections in a Small Town

The game unfolds in a quaint setting where social dynamics and friendships play vital roles. As Hikari grapples with loneliness, she meets Sakura Oklahoma, a familiar face from her past. This chance encounter opens doors, leading players to engage in various social situations. Building connections is not only essential for Hikari’s emotional journey but also unlocks the potential for in-game support, adding depth to character interactions.
