MAKAI CITY CHI-BA

Chiba under attack

MAKAI CITY CHI-BA is a fantasy RPG for PC set in Chiba, Japan, where monsters suddenly appear and throw the prefecture into chaos. You follow four high school students who have no swords or magic of their own. They rely on the protection of Chiba’s spirits as they fight the monsters and look for the truth about “CHI-BA.”

The story draws on real place names, history, and folklore from Chiba Prefecture, east of Tokyo. Its locations include Kyonan town, Tateyama, and Umihotaru. As the students investigate, a city that’s hard to reach and small inconsistencies in people’s memories become part of the mystery.
