Ludus Magna

Run a gladiator school

Ludus Magna is a PC management game set in ancient Rome. You take the role of a Lanista, building a gladiator school, recruiting fighters and preparing them to compete in the arena. Each day gives you only a handful of actions, and Gold is limited, so training, hiring staff and buying equipment all compete for your time and money.

Winning fights earns Fame, which opens new opportunities, but success also brings higher costs. If you let your finances slide, bankruptcy can end a run before your fighters reach the top.
